Acne-Aid Soap Review

So before anything else I would like you to know that I switch facial cleanser often especially when I hear/read a rave on a particular product. My skin type is oily and acne prone that's why I'm always in search for a good facial cleanser to address my problem. As of now I'm still using the Orange Peel L-Glutathione because I really want to see the effect of it. I know you have to use a product in a long run to be able to see it's effectiveness that's why I'm really being patient to it :) but before the Orange Peel craze, this baby right here was my best bud =)

What it claims: Acne-Aid bar is a balanced blend of a gentle degreasing agent and effective cleansers that helps cleanse the skin gently and thoroughly. Due to its highly effective cleansing power, Acne-Aid Bar is very useful in acne and oily skin conditions. Acne-Aid Bar contains no perfume, coloring or abrasives; it may be used safely with any other medication. It is recommended by dermatologists worldwide.

PROS:

  • Has no fragrance, coloring or abrasives (as what it claims)
  • does not melt easily
  • huge bar and can be cut into pieces
  • available locally
  • the expiration date is written on the packaging
  • effective in removing dirt and makeup on your face leaving a squeeky clean feeling
  • may be used with other medication
  • good for sensitive skin

CONS:

  • I find it expensive (P182 for a soap!)
  • it takes a long time before it can dry a pimple

WILL I REPURCHASE? Maybe. I maybe purchase this one again BUT I'm still using my orange peel right now and I think I will be using that soap for long time.

Gatsby Oil Clear Sheets Review

Basically oil sheets are used to soak up all the excess oil from your face. If you have an oily skin like mine oil sheets are your best friend. It prevents your face from looking like an oil slick throughout the day.

So far the Gatsby oil sheets are the best oil sheets I have ever used. It comes in two variants. The red and the blue. The red ones are more expensive than the blue ones. I really don't know what's the difference between the two but I think the blue kind comes with a powder on it? I'm not sure though.

I'm a living oil slick. LOL!

PROS:
  • It absorbs oil AMAZINGLY!!!
  • It's the best oil sheets I've tried so far
  • Much bigger than  the Clean & Clear oil sheets
CONS:
  • I can't think of any!
WILL I REPURCHASE? yes! definitely.

Btw, I bought it at Watsons for P119 (70 sheets) not bad at all right?

Diamond Orange Peel & L-Glutathione Review

To start things off, I would like you to know that I have EXTREMELY oily skin which all of you know that having an oily skin is probably equivalent to having an acne prone skin. I don't really break out a lot except when my period is near I get three to four pimples around my cheek and forehead area but It goes away as time passes by. I guess It has something to do with your hormones right? So anyway, these past few months my face went CRAZY!!! from having a clear skin to sudden pimple galore face. I know it's disgusting but battling with acne is NOT EASY as 1, 2, 3. Trial and error must be done first in order to find the perfect solution.

I've tried everything in order to control my acne/oiliness of my face and to fade my acne marks. I've tried different types of acne products from creams, gels, soap, toner etc. and non of them seem to work. Some products worked for me but when I stop using them my pimples come back. And now I can say I'm desperate enough to have clear skin again. I know it's not easy to find the perfect product but with the help of internet I was able to find raves of different skin care products.

What It claims: A specialty soap that combines the natural exfoliating and refining properties of Orange Peel Extract with the whitening power of Glutathione. It deep cleanses, unclogs pores, heals acne prone skin, lightens discoloration, stimulates cell renewal and brightens overall complexion. Achieve healthy, fairer, even-toned, silky smooth skin!

I read a lot of raves about this soap and I was eager to try it until one day when I was at Watson I find myself buying this soap. It cost P143 at Watson and I'm not sure if it's available at grocery stores.

    PROS:
    • It's a huge bar of soap and if cut into pieces it will last long
    • It smells so good! (like a freshly squeezed orange)
    • It lathers up well
    • It can be use for face & body
    • Expiration date is indicated in the packaging
    CONS:
    • Expensive (compared to other soaps in the market)
I'm still in the run of battling acne and I hope this soap will work for me. I know my acne will not stop overnight and patience is a must!
